There is no doubt one of the most frequent questions we are asked is................Can you train the untrainable (The beagle!).My answer is always 'You get the dog You make!'.Here are some photo's to prove that theory-Of course what you invest will reap rewards.GO to puppy training classes weekly, socialise with other breeds so your beagle becomes dog aware and wordly wise!He will benefit so much from the sights, sounds and smells also bonding with you as you reward him with love (and tiddybits) for good behaviour. If you wish to show or enjoy agility find a local club that engages in these activities and teach your puppy life skills. He can start at 6 months in earnest but will benefit from earlier starting in arms with mama just taking in all the new sensations. If you want you puppy to b a friendly level-headed mutt about town then the early years is the crucial time for adjustment and learning, get him out and about,in the car,out with other like minded friends, take him on your hols!.Can you let him  off the lead??????????????????well you can but you must start young in a safe place, use your recall training skills, carry your titbits, make being with you exciting! He may go on a scent and my advice is through experience Beagles will follow their scent back so don't move away from the area,be patient, call and reward always.Start by using the extending lead invaluble in early training and better than usual lad walking as your precious Beagle has more freedom but cannot escape.Meet other dog owners for mutual playtime and freedom.Exercise is very important to the wellbeing of your beagle, being cooped up for long periods will lead to boredom and bad habits, your life will become more stressful and Walking Is Good For You too!!!
